At night, weekends and Bank Holidays there is always a doctor on call for emergencies. If you have a potentially life threatening condition please phone 999.  For any other medical queries that cannot wait until the surgery reopens dial 111.

When to go to A&E

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

Urgent Prescription Requests:

If you are on holiday or visiting the local area and find that you have run out of or forgotten your repeat medication, during working hours (8am-6.30pm) in the first instance you should contact your regular GP who should be able to electronically send your prescription request to a local pharmacist. If you urgently require medication out of hours at the weekend (after 6pm on Friday) or on a bank holiday, you should contact a local pharmacist who may be able to process a supply of repeat medication* to you.

*Please note this service is not available for controlled drugs.
